| THE TRUTH HURTS The Bucks went to Boston and took the Celtics to overtime, and Paul Pierce went off and took them out. He scored 12 of his 28 points in overtime, and the 7th of those 12 was the 20,000th of his career. Only Larry Bird (see: 21,791) and John Havlicek (see: 26,395) ever scored more for the C's. Meanwhile, the Twitterverse has yet to alert the universe whether or not Kevin Garnett accused any Bucks of suffering from any incurable diseases, but if he needs any ideas, he can check out #KGTrashTalk.

| WHO DOES NO. 2 WORK FOR? While you were sleeping, Tiger Woods was over in Shanghai starting and finishing his first round in more than half a decade as World No. 2. And after an improbable par and a string of three straight birdies, he carded a 68 and found himself three shots off the lead. But that meant he also found himself two shots behind the man who he finds himself one slot behind in the world rankings. Lee Westwood took over at the top, despite the fact that this HSBC Champions tournament is only his second stroke-play tournament in three months. But that didn't stop him from closing with back-to-back birdies and carding a 6-under 66. (Since you asked, Francesco Molinari is your leader after a 7-under 65.)

| A ROLLING STONE GATHERS NO MOSS But some limping Titans do. And now that a source close to the situation (not a source close to this situation) tells our own Adam Schefter that Kenny Britt is expected to miss at least a month with the hamstring injury he suffered Sunday, Tennessee's move to claim Randy Moss off waivers makes more sense. The Titans are on a bye this week, which means you'll have to wait until next week (at Miami) to see him suit up for his third team this season. But if you can't wait that long, then just wait until tomorrow, when the roster update hits Madden 11.

| BIG BLUE Michigan admitted to some football violations, and so they slapped themselves with two years of probation. Rich-Rod got slapped on the wrist, since he did spend more time on football than the NCAA allowed, but he did not fail to promote an atmosphere of compliance. But this morning, a source tells the Detroit News this morning that the program will be slapped with an additional year of probation when the NCAA's final decision is announced later today. That's a lot of slapping.

| 17 | Kobe Bryant kept his Lakers undefeated on the season by collecting the 17th triple-double of his career, but his first in almost two years (see: January 21, 2009 against the Clippers). He finished with 30 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds. That makes him a multitasker, but a multitasker who knows his limits. And really, you should know your limits. Because really, you should never be this guy, who can work his cell phone while reading his Kindle while reading his book while driving his car. Recap | Highlights |
| +78, -74 | The Magic put up a franchise-record 78 points in the first half of a 42-point win over the Timberwolves. For Minnesota, it came on the heels of a 32-point loss to the Heat. It was my understanding there would be no math, but that's a -74-point swing through Florida. That's bad, but that's not 1999 Chicago Bulls bad. Those guys managed to follow up a 32-point loss to the Pistons on April Fool's Day with a 47-point loss to the Magic on the Day After April Fool's Day. Recap | Highlights | 1999 Chicago Bulls |
| 4 of 5 | The Stars won their first game against the Penguins since the year of 2003 (see: March 2). Sidney Crosby did not have a point, but he did make it a point to take part in his 5th career fight. Unfortunately for him, 4 of those 5 fights have come in losses. Meanwhile, the Penguins are 1-3-1 in their last 5 games and are 0-21 on the power play in that span. Recap | Highlights |

| "I was blown away. What I was very pleased to see is they are doing their due diligence on this thing. I didn't get that feeling initially." Utah's Attorney General (meet Mark Shurtleff) went to Washington to talk about the BCS, and headed home convinced that the government will sue the leaders of college football's championship system for being an "illegal monopoly." Wasn't that one of the planks of the Tea Party platform? Was that on CNN's touchscreen? Read More | "It's a little stiff now, but it will be fine. The shot hit me in the throat...and when it did, I had trouble breathing and then I got really dizzy because blood was blocked going to my brain." Henrik Lundqvist of the Rangers should be good to go tonight against the Flyers after taking a slapshot to the throat in practice. Read More |
