| KETCHUP Hines Ward is a four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver who had caught a pass in each of his last 186 games before last night. But he didn't catch anything last night other than a helmet-to-helmet hit from James Sanders in the first quarter, and sat out the rest of the game with a concussion. Meanwhile, Rob Gronkowski is a rookie tight end for the Patriots who had three touchdown catches in his career before last night. But he had three touchdown catches in last night's game alone. But these things happen when you play with Tom Brady. And they especially happen when you play with Tom Brady against Pittsburgh, since he's tossed 14 touchdowns against just three interceptions in seven career games against them (including the playoffs). And after a 39-26 win, it's probably worth mentioning that Brady is 6-1 in those games. And it's probably also worth mentioning that the 39 points scored by the Patriots are the most the Steelers have ever allowed in the long and storied history of Heinz Field (since 2001).

| OUT OF THE DARKNESS Welcome to the NFL, Jason Garrett. The Cowboys headed up to the Meadowlands and snapped their 5-game losing streak. And they snapped the Giants' 5-game winning streak. Jon Kitna summed it up nicely. "I think the difference, first and foremost, is the freakish disasters that have kind of defined our season didn't happen tonight for us," he said, apparently forgetting about the freakish disaster that plunged the New Meadowlands Stadium into darkness. This year has not been a good year for the electric company. | MCNUGGETS Welcome to Monday morning, which comes just hours ahead of Monday Night, which brings with it the Eagles and Redskins from the nation's capital, which brings Donovan McNabb against his former club for the second time (8:30 ET on ESPN). The first time was in Week 4, when McNabb was just 8-of-19 for 125 yards with both a touchdown and an interception. But that was good enough for a 17-12 win in Philadelphia, because he was good enough against the pressure. The Eagles were aggressive with the blitz, bringing at least one defensive back on almost half of McNabb's dropbacks. And one of those blitzes led to the one touchdown pass he threw. Of course, McNabb was benched the last time out in favor of Rex Grossman and his apparent mastery of the two-minute drill (or fitness). And the last time McNabb played after a benching, he bounced back quite nicely, leading those Eagles to the NFC title game.

| TECHNICALLY, A LOSING STREAK The Suns made a lot of three-pointers last night against the Lakers. 22 of them. 23 is the all-time NBA record (see: Magic, 2009). But still, the Lakers had a chance to win. Lamar Odom got banged by Hedo Turkoglu and made the layup to make it a two-point game. A free throw would have made it a one-point game. A Lakers free throw would have, anyway. The whistle didn't come until Odom signaled to Ron Artest that he was fouled. And that whistle was for a technical foul on Odom, which put Steve Nash at the free throw line instead. He made it, which gave the Suns a three-point lead and the ball. The game ended in a five-point Lakers loss, their second in a row after eight wins in a row to start the season.

| 67...15 | Out in Phoenix, Denny Hamlin held a 67-point over Jimmie Johnson at the exact time he hit the pits for fuel with 14 laps to go. Because of that, Hamlin will head to Miami with just a 15-point lead over Johnson and a 46-point lead over Kevin Harvick. They're the only drivers remaining in the Chase race. Mathematically speaking. (And in English.) Recap | Highlights | Johnson Reels In Hamlin |
| 10 = 10 | The BCS Rankings have been released, and for the third time ever (and the first time in almost five years - see: November 20 and November 27, 2005), the order of the Top 10 stayed exactly the same in consecutive weeks. That's good news for No. 1 Oregon and No. 2 Auburn. That's bad news for No. 3 TCU. The worse news for No. 3 TCU is that No. 4 Boise State is closer than they used to be. | 79, 80 | The UCONN Huskies opened their season with their 79th straight win, this time against Holy Cross, and this time by 80 points. That's only good enough to tie the second-largest margin of victory in school history, because once upon a time (call it December 27, 1998), they beat Quinnipiac by 97 (call it 117-20). Up next, a Final Four rematch against Baylor tomorrow night in Hartford (ESPN2, 6:00 ET). Recap | Box Score |

| "Maybe it's the fact that the winning mentality has never been here. I'm used to winning. Used to talking about winning. We just can't have guys complacent and comfortable with losing. I keep saying that." Amar'e Stoudemire keeps talking about the Knicks, the club he freely joined in the offseason to the tune of nearly $100 million over five years. Because it's not about the money. Read More | "FIFTY YARDS!!! WOAH!!! HAH-HAH!!!" Mike Thomas caught a 50-yard Hail Mary from David Garrard with 0:00 left on the clock to give the Jaguars the home win over the Texans. It's just the fourth time in NFL history that a team completed a game-winning touchdown pass of at least 50 yards with no time remaining in the fourth quarter of a regular season game. And thankfully, Gus Johnson had the call. And thankfully, it's not even the biggest win by a cat at home on the Gulf Coast that you'll see today. But only if you click here.
